I had never had these until I moved here and now I make them all the time.

For our family this is the recipe I use, but when we have guests joining us for dinner I make 2-3 cans.

1 can of whole green beans
bacon
1/2 stick of butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 t.garlic salt

Cut bacon strips in 2, then wrap a handful of green bean in a piece of bacon.
Then melt 1/2 stick of butter and mix in 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of garlic salt.
Pour butter mixture over wrapped green beans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Then put on broil for 5 minutes.

This is what they look like before the butter mixture is poured on.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_kDy5Z1it1ww/THwElVrmX8I/AAAAAAAAABY/9SpG0mH4n_A/s320/DSC_2212.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511285083516329922" />

Deacon loves these too. My mom is a wonderful cook and I am always trying to duplicate her dishes, I can get close but it is never the same. Anyway, this is really easy and it is delicious.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_kDy5Z1it1ww/S5-xButoN0I/AAAAAAAAAAU/u_CfxzeQIQ8/s320/dsc_5706.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449268717418985282" />

4-6 chicken breast
6-8 potatoes
1 can peas
2 cups chopped carrots
1-2 cans cream of chicken
1-2 prerolled pie crust

Boil chicken (for about an hour), carrots and potatoes (until tender). Shread chicken. Mix chicken, vegetables and cream of chicken. Put into pan and cover with pie crust. You can also put pie crust on the bottom if you choose.

Bake at 400 until crust is golden brown.

The nice thing about this is that it has meat and vegetables in it so I usually just make rolls to go with it and these are our favorite rolls. So easy and good.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 120px; height: 121px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kDy5Z1it1ww/S5-zMUSwj0I/AAAAAAAAAAc/fjkp9AIHJso/s320/rolls.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449271098328780610" />

I usually use 2 prerolled pie crust on the top of a casserole dish. It doesn't always look pretty but it gives it a thicker crust on top. I have also made this before and put biscuits on top in place of the crust for a change and it was great too.

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

This are the absolute best chocolate chip cookies.
